Rancho Sahuarita, Madera Highlands and the newer phases along the I-19 corridor went up in waves, with one builder fitting one specification across a whole street at once. Every house on that street got the same air conditioner, the same water heater and the same panel in the same year.
That is quiet for a decade and then it is not. Fifteen years on, a whole neighbourhood hits end of life within a season or two of each other. The neighbour whose AC died in July is not unlucky. Yours is the same unit, fitted the same month, and it has run the same summers.
Knowing that changes the conversation. When a builder-grade condenser starts costing money at fourteen years old, the honest answer is usually not another repair, and it helps to know what the rest of the street is finding out at the same time.

Because the street was built at once. One builder fitted one specification across a whole phase in the same year, so the equipment reaches end of life on roughly the same schedule. My house is only ten years old. Do I really need anything checked?
